FROM SCOTLAND TO WESTERN LIGURIA
Natalya Ayers is a British-born visual artist, florist, permaculture designer and flower farmer. Co-founder of Scottish botanical studio Pyrus, she recently relocated to the Maritime Alps in Liguria, behind Italy’s flower riviera.
Seeking a gentler and more connected life in the mountains, Natalya moved to Italy to develop a permaculture project combining flowers and food with her creative studio in the wild landscape of Imperia. Fully embracing permaculture as a lifestyle and business was a natural shift after years of being at the forefront of the British flowers movement, championing naturally grown seasonal flowers and ethical farming practices.
The Sylva flower studio works with creative clients on special weddings, events, botanical installations and editorials across the country, using Italian-grown seasonal flowers.
Natalya also offers permaculture design with a special interest in high altitude sites and cut flower projects, and botanical workshops for groups or individuals wanting to explore their creative practice through the medium of flowers and plants.
